I already know one thing for sure and that is that you are enough and you belong here. Queerness doesn’t require anything of you other than you identifying as such. You don’t have to transition to be trans, you can date anyone of any gender and still be whatever feels most right to you, you can not want to date anyone and not be alone. You don’t need a label, you don’t need to come out (unless and until you’re ready), you don’t have to present any type of way and you never need to prove your validity here.

Your existence is enough. Always.

One of the best – and hardest – parts of getting older is getting to figure out who you are and what you want. Sometimes we’re not who we’ve thought we’ve been. Sometimes things change and identities shift. Sometime we realize that the way we were brought up or the things we were taught didn’t allow us to fully explore ourselves or our identities. 

My goal is to help you understand how those things have shaped you and how you can use them to inform your journey without letting them define it. By understanding who you are in your own words, you can gain a stronger sense of what it is you both need and want.

How Therapy Works

I know that scheduling a first appointment with a new therapist can feel a little (a lot?) stressful. Maybe you’re finding yourself somehow trying both to talk yourself into and out of scheduling an appointment at the same time. I know it can feel overwhelming, so let me help you understand what you can expect after reaching out.  

Working with me typically consists of weekly, virtual, one-on-one sessions that help you work through your thoughts, questions, and help you find a confident, healthy, happy path forward while working through the things that are getting in your way. 

In your first session, we will talk about what brought you here and what your goals might be. If you’re not sure, that’s totally okay! We’ll work together to figure them out. Throughout the course of our sessions, you will gain clarity and insight into yourself and what you want out of your present and future. Together, we’ll find your voice, your strength, tap into your inner wisdom, and set you up for a future that feels lighter, brighter, and authentically you.
